Question: How does one get into hunting for mushrooms...I know to read books...but where and how is the BEST way to get started. It kind of scares me to think that I may eat a poisonous mushroom and I won't be around to tell anyone what happened!!!

Answer:  LOL good point, there are classes occasionally, Pima CC here in Tucson used to have a day hike

Look for a Mushroom club and tag along on a hike / gathering trip with them

A good guide book will help you discover how to tell good from bad

There are few really deadly ones out there

It's always smart to eat them at home anyway, you don't have to eat each one you find of course
